Overview

The general Worldview of any Spiritual learning begins with energy and the responsible use of that energy. At our Learning Center, we plan to focus on the various aspects of how this energy is translated into healing. Our Western society is faced with many problems that we can directly relate to stress, poor eating habit and a lack of body/mind connections.

Singing Mouse is a learning center that will allow anyone the ability to understand the inter-relationship between the energy forces in the universe that affect our daily lives. It is our hope that we will be able to become an active focal point for many individuals and groups from the Midwest and beyond.

Purpose

Our initial group will train a core of individuals to share what Shamanistic teaching is about. “Shamans are spiritually developed men and women who recognize that life is in all things, who are able to work with cosmic and natural forces and to experience different levels of awareness from physical reality.” (The Medicine Way by author Kenneth Meadows)

Goals

Singing Mouse Shamanic Learning Center, (SMSLC), will use a variety of teaching techniques to give students a structured learning environment while remaining flexible to practical learning. It is our hope that from this core of students, we will be able to train new teachers and thus supply the demand for the next group of students.

Background

Leo R. Muller AKA White Bear, is a practicing Medicine Man since 1988. He has been walking the way of his Ancestors since 1983. White Bear has the ability to utilize the forces of nature to affect changes in peoples lives. His teachings consists of offering personal centering and grounding skills, performing ritual ceremonies such as the Native American Sweat Lodge Ceremony, Calling to the Ancestors and utilizing Alternate States of Consciousness otherwise known as “Journeying”. He has also held classes in primitive survival to teach people how to survive difficult circumstances in the wild. He has skills and knowledge in herbology, herbalism and foraging for wild plants that are used in healing.

White Bear is proficient in primitive pottery skills, demonstrating traditional forms of firing pottery. He has knowledge in leather craft, bead craft, Native American Style Flute construction, traditional drum and rattle making from various indigenous tribes across the United States.

White Bear is concerned with the welfare and spiritual attitudes of indigenous peoples and their loss of Ancestral Spirituality. He has a love to help, not only the indigenous people but, those that are searching an alternative way to interact with modern day society. He believes that with this teaching, harmony will be instilled and confusion abated.

White Bear sat under such teachers as John Pope AKA Rolling Thunder at Mete Tantey, Nebraska. John Runningdeer, a teacher and seer of the Cherokee Nation, Cherokee, North Carolina.

White Bear completed his vision Quest on the Balsam Mountains, North Carolina in 1984.
